At the end of October 2011 An Post Museum held a special exhibition called Patchwork and Postcards.
The exhibition was held to mark the 30th birthday of the Irish Patchwork Society (IPS), the An Post Museum had a few of the Society’s beautiful hand-made postcards on display. Posted both in Ireland and abroad, each card is a work of art linking creative people through the post.
Always glad to welcome new recruits to this rich and engaging past-time, the IPS intended to use the cards to raise money for the Marie Keating Foundation, the cancer awareness and support organisation.
